Blockchain DLT: Records, Rewards and Risks with Dr. Patricia Franks, Pari Swift, Andrew Ysasi, Darra Hofman, and Amitabh Srivastav
Blockchain is a decentralized, immutable, and cryptographically secure distributed ledger technology (DLT), broadly used to eliminate the need for trust in data transfer. Blockchain technologies are being explored for diverse applications across numerous market sectors—but the application is not without risks. Guided by a moderator, the four panelists will provide a brief review of the technology, present uses cases, explore questions asked by practicing records managers, and explain the risk and audit considerations that must be examined before implementing a blockchain solution.
Individuals requiring real-time captioning/closed captions or other accommodations should contact Sue Alman as soon as possible.
