Information access, privacy, security and management challenges are intertwined with almost everything that Manitoba public bodies and trustees do, whether it is dealing with general information or personal information governed by The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) or personal health information governed by The Personal Health Information Act (PHIA).
In celebrating the 5th iteration of the Manitoba Connections Conference we can now recognize the benefits that can be gained by breaking down the silos around access, privacy, security and information management. Bringing these information disciplines together in one conference can help public sector employees strengthen their skills in these areas and improve the connections between these areas within their workplaces.
The conference offers many benefits. By attending this event you will:
- improve your knowledge in various subject areas,
- get up to speed on emerging issues and trends
- learn about the interconnectedness of the disciplines,
- find practical solutions to help you meet the information challenges within these interconnected disciplines, and
- network and make connections with colleagues in other fields and organizations.
An advisory committee, with input from the community that attends, is planning 25+ sessions with 35+ speakers over the two-day conference. Individuals can register for potentially less than $380 per registrant. |
