 Description: 

Starting with a discussion of the role of records, and promoting good records making processes.  Rather than just review theory, we’ll also engage in a few hands on activities designed to demonstrate why users have such a hard time managing records and how we can help.  This session will also provide a refresher on the basics of functional classification, using some hands on activities to start the analysis process.  We’ll also look at how to identify and complete manageable projects that will build support of your programs and promote acceptance and awareness to get your program clipping along!

About Your Presenter: 

Rachelle Ross is the Records Manager |Archivist at the University’s Manitoba, working out of the Access and Privacy Office.  Rachelle has a MA in Archival Studies, and over 10 years’ experience working in archival and records management roles in public and private institutions in Manitoba.
